各位親愛的家長 Dear Parents,
感謝大家於5月7日撥空參加畢業典禮暨期末表演活動。當天小朋友們的演出都非常精彩，看見孩子們自信地站上舞台，展現平日學習的成果，真的令人十分感動，也為大家留下了美好的回憶。
如同大家所知，今年我將卸任校長一職。回想從我家老大四歲開始進入奧斯丁中文學校，到現在已經17年了；而我在學校擔任活動組及校長等工作，也大約有12年的時間。一路走來，心中充滿感恩。特別感謝歷年來所有家長、老師以及行政團隊的支持與付出，大家齊心協力，讓學校在疫情期間仍能穩定運作，並一步一步成長至今，學生人數已增加到約150人。2026年秋季班開始將由 Amberli Town (principal@austinchineseschool.org) 校長為大家服務，請大家多多支持與幫忙．
中文教育與中華文化的傳承，需要每一位家長長期的支持與投入。期盼未來家長們能持續鼓勵孩子學習中文，陪伴他們在語言與文化的道路上穩健成長；也誠摯希望家長們能多多支持並協助學校，攜手營造一個溫馨且適合孩子學習中文的環境。相信只要大家齊心協力、共同努力，學校一定能不斷進步，讓更多孩子從中受益，也讓中華文化在下一代身上持續傳承、發揚光大。

Thank you all for taking the time to attend the Graduation Ceremony and End-of-Semester Performance on May 7. The children’s performances that day were truly wonderful. Seeing them confidently stand on stage and showcase the results of their hard work and learning was deeply touching and created many beautiful memories for all of us.
As many of you know, I will be stepping down from my position as principal this year. Looking back, it has been 17 years since my oldest child first joined Austin Chinese School at the age of four. I have also served the school for about 12 years in various roles, including Activities Coordinator and Principal. Throughout this journey, my heart is filled with gratitude. I would especially like to thank all the parents, teachers, and administrative team members over the years for your support and dedication. Through everyone’s joint efforts, the school was able to continue operating steadily during the pandemic and has continued to grow step by step. Today, our student enrollment has increased to approximately 150 students. Beginning in the Fall 2026 semester, Principal Amberli Town (principal@austinchineseschool.org) will be serving the school community, and I kindly ask for your continued support and assistance.
Chinese language education and the preservation of Chinese culture require the long-term support and commitment of every parent. I sincerely hope parents will continue encouraging their children to learn Chinese and accompany them as they grow steadily in both language and culture. I also truly hope that parents will continue supporting and assisting the school so that together we can create a warm and enriching environment for children to learn Chinese. I believe that as long as we work together with unity and dedication, the school will continue to improve, benefit even more children, and help Chinese culture continue to thrive and be passed on to the next generation.
Lastly, I have attached photos from the end-of-semester performance for everyone to download and keep as memories. I would also like to kindly ask for your cooperation in protecting the children’s privacy and safety. 在現今多以電子產品完成作業的時代，手寫文字的機會逐漸減少。然而，漢字不僅是溝通的工具，更是一門優美的藝術。本校透過此次活動，希望孩子們在學習之餘，也能珍惜並傳承漢字所蘊含的文化價值與美感。

Thank you to all the students for your dedication and active participation in this handwriting competition. The winners will be officially announced in class this Sunday, and awards will be presented in each classroom. Every student performed excellently, and it is wonderful to see everyone making steady progress year after year.
In today’s world, where electronic devices are commonly used for schoolwork, opportunities for handwriting are becoming less frequent. However, Chinese characters are not only a means of communication but also a beautiful form of art. Through this activity, our school hopes to encourage students to appreciate and preserve the artistic and cultural value of Chinese characters.
The competition this year was very intense. Due to multiple ties in scores, additional awards were given in some groups. We would like to encourage all students: your effort and dedication have been recognized by the judges. With continued focus and care in your writing, more opportunities for success will surely come.We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the judges for taking the time to evaluate the students’ work, and to all parents for your encouragement and support in helping your children grow and improve.

繪畫創作比賽
財團法人台灣永續能源研究基金會，為使環境教育向下扎根、提升大眾永續認知，自2009年起舉辦「氣候變遷國中小繪畫創作比賽」，

Thank you to all the parents for taking the time to attend last Sunday’s Lunar New Year celebration at our school.
